Collect only very small things. Store them in a mint tin or small box. I collected the objects before I selected words from the readings. I read through Twyla Tharp's excerpt once and went back to underline phrases, I saw the title "Spine" and immediately thought of the long clear plastic object that looks like a spine. Then I realized that most all of the objects could be related to a spine in shape, color or texture.
